The grid of risk indicators for honor based violence and accompanying documents
In 2012 the Shield of Athena Family Services set up a working committee on HBV, composed of representatives of the Police Service of the City of Montreal & Laval, youth centers, representatives from the educational system and representatives from the research community.
This precious collaboration resulted in the development of a common definition of honor based violence and a grid of risk indicators for honor based violence. The grid of HBV risk indicators is for any person who works with victims and potential victims of HBV and the purpose of this tool is to help them assess the potential risk of HBV.
